Principal Solution Manager, Keyloop

01About

Between what the business needs and what engineering builds.

Twenty years across web engineering, technical architecture and product. I’ve led a 35-person engineering department, architected large AWS platforms and worked on justice-sector systems for the Crown Prosecution Service.

I now sit in the product function at Keyloop, the bridge between what automotive businesses need and what engineering builds. Lately, much of that work is AI: designing agents and the platforms they orchestrate.

  1. Solution management

    Customer programmes, from problem to delivery

    Part product manager, part solution architect. I work with customers and their markets to understand their pain points and requirements, map them into solutions, then work with engineering to make sure they’re delivered architecturally to spec. Mercedes-Benz Global Distributors (MBGD) is one of those programmes.

  2. Cross-domain delivery

    Joining up Keyloop’s domains

    I help teams deliver solutions that cut across Keyloop’s core domains: the DMS teams, platform, layered applications, DevOps, IT and more.

  3. Agents

    AI agent orchestration

    Designing role-based AI agents and how they work together.

  4. Platform

    Fusion APIs

    Headless, domain-driven APIs that expose dealer-management capabilities for integration and AI orchestration.

    Keyloop

    Solution management across customer programmes, including Mercedes-Benz Global Distributors; helping teams deliver across Keyloop’s core domains; AI agent design and the Fusion API platform.

  2. 2023 – 2024

    • Modernised legacy systems and introduced modern ways of working.
    • Core member of the discovery teams for new justice-sector software.
    • Improved documentation and how architecture knowledge is shared.
    • Deployed across teams to plan complex technical work.

    • Led a department of 35 engineers across the UK, Poland, Belarus and Vietnam, winning department of the year several times in a company of 350+.
    • Brought in Jira and agile workflows, and hired across three countries.
    • Built CI/CD with AWS CodeBuild and CloudFormation on the Serverless Framework, and architected large serverless systems on Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Cognito and S3.
    • Introduced hybrid app development with Ionic and Cordova, which became a £300k+ line of work for Toyota, Lexus, Chevrolet and GMC.
    • Modernised the frontend stack to Vue, Vite, Vitest, Cypress and Jest.

Car configurator

A serverless AWS stack that pulls Mercedes vehicle data into a DynamoDB taxonomy, integrated through Lambda and API Gateway, with a Vue 3 frontend. I ran the architecture workshops with the client in Dubai.
